sha Ambani and Anand Piramal celebrated their sangeet ceremony yesterday at the Oberoi Udaivilas in Udaipur, Rajasthan and the celebrations continue today.

With almost all the big names from Bollywood, politics, sports and business in attendance, Isha Ambani’s pre-wedding celebrations seem the biggest event of the year.

The grand celebrations, which saw performances by the Ambani family and the biggest stars of Bollywood, was a dreamy affair with the finest decor adding to its beauty.

The wedding decor

And it was designed and conceptualised by none other than Bollywood’s favourite designer, Manish Malhotra.

Apart from putting up a pop-up store and a fashion walk at the venue this weekend, Manish Malhotra was involved in the festivities right from the beginning.

He also designed all the outfits for the Ambanis, which they wore yesterday throughout the celebrations. He did so in collaboration with Nita Ambani, the mother of bride-to-be Isha.

In fact, the outfits that the Ambanis will wear today have also been designed by the ace couturier.

Over the past few weeks, we have seen fashion designer Sabyasachi crafting wedding trousseaus for the Bollywood brides and grooms. The designer dressed Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh in his creations through their wedding and reception parties. Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas too chose Sabyasachi creations for their Hindu wedding ceremony.

Manish Malhotra, however, is a favourite with the Ambanis – something that is visible in the fact that the designer is synonymous with Isha Ambani and Anand Piramal’s pre-wedding celebrations.

Isha and Anand’s wedding celebrations, which continue today, will see a performance by American pop sensation Beyonce. She arrived today in Udaipur to perform live at the event.

There will be a mela for the guests too followed by music, dance by performers and an exquisite Palace Soiree in the evening. The dress code for the daytime festivities is festive or smart casuals.
